Picos de Europa & Potes Day Trip

Having picked you up from your chosen meeting point, we'll set off on our adventure around Cantabria. As we get our day trip started, we'll start crossing the rivers, forests and small villages located in the surroundings of the La Hermida Gorge.

Our first stop of the day will be at the Monastery of Santo Toribio de Liébana. Did you know that this place is one of the four Holy Places of Christianity? This is because the Lignum Crucis, the largest surviving piece of wood from the Cross of Jesus Christ, is kept inside the monastery. After learning about the history of the monastery, we'll head to the viewpoint of the San Miguel Hermitage to admire beautiful views of the Picos de Europa.

From Santo Toribio de Liébana, we'll head to Fuente Dé. You'll have 1 hour 30 minutes of free time here, which you could use to go up the famous Picos de Europa cable car or go horse riding in this incredible natural area.

The next stop on our day trip will be Potes. This municipality, which is the capital of the Liébana region, is thought to be one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. You'll love the Infantado Tower, its bridges and charming cobbled streets.

You'll have around 1 hour of free time to have lunch in Potes, after which we'll take a short guided stroll through the village. We'll then return to the different meeting points, where we should arrive between 6 and 6:30 pm.

Pickup

This day trip includes pickup at the scheduled times from the following locations in Cantabria:

• From Santander: we'll pick you up at 9 am from your hotel.
• From Torrelavega: we'll pick you up at 9:30 am from the bus stop located in front of the Pabellón Municipal La Habana Vieja.

Horseriding in the Picos de Europa

Please bear in mind that horse riding in the Picos de Europa is only available from June 22 to October 6.
