La Gomera Island Day Trip

After being picked up, you will head to Los Cristianos Ferry Terminal. From here, board a comfortable ferry to San Sebastián de La Gomera, capital of the neighbouring island.

As soon as you disembark, take a bus to the interior of the islet. On the journey, admire La Gomera’s distinct landscape and Roque de Agando, a surprising volcanic formation, and one of the island’s most famous landmarks. The scenery surrounding this rock formation, which stands over 1,000 meters above sea level, is breathtaking. Upon arrival at Garajonay National Park, you will follow your professional guide into its green forests and discover its autochthonous plants and wildlife. In the park, you will visit the Laguna Grande (Large Lagoon). Although it is called lagoon, it is not a lake, but an enormous open space home to numerous mysterious stories and legends. Enjoy some free time to discover this spot at your own leisure.

After leaving Garajonay behind, head to the north of the island, home to several beautiful villages like Hermigua. Stop at the town of Agulo and indulge in a delicious traditional lunch. After your meal, you'll also get to enjoy a demonstration of La Gomera’s unique whistled language.

Resume the day trip by heading to the impressive Vallehermoso viewpoint and then drive to the south of the island to take a short guided tour of San Sebastián de La Gomera. Your guide will reveal the story of Christopher Columbus, who stopped here on his way to discover South America. You will also learn about the history of the fifteenth-century fortress, Torre del Conde, one of the oldest historic monuments in the capital of La Gomera.

After the tour, you will embark back on the ferry and return to Tenerife. Once you get to Tenerife, you will then be driven back to your hotel.
